MorningStar of Applewood offers 65 assisted living studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments spread over three levels. Stylish floor plans, complete with wall-to-wall carpeting and mini blinds, make it easy to showcase your own personality and taste. Each unit is equipped with a full, handicap-accessible bathroom and an emergency call system.
Additionally, our Reflections neighborhoods offer 42 secure suites for seniors with memory impairment. Working with family members, our highly trained staff infuses the resident’s world with personalized visual and auditory cues aimed at awakening memories and calming the nerves. Our programming focuses on each person’s existing capabilities while reaffirming dignity and self-esteem. Reflections offers the same well-appointed apartments with its own beauty salon, dining room, enclosed patios and outdoor garden.
You will also be pleased with the thoughtfully designed common spaces that are an extension of your apartment. Resort-style amenities include massage and spa rooms, movie theater, and an outdoor patio with grill and fireplace.
MorningStar of Applewood is full of diversions and delights. If your hands are itching to be active, something is always astir. Just check in with our concierge, or drop in at the Bistro to get involved. Or seek a quiet corner with only a cup of tea as a companion. A beautiful neighborhood park adjacent to our property provides a popular walking route for residents as they exercise or just enjoy the outdoors with staff members or visitors.

DINING ROOM —Residents are served daily specials with a choice of alternate entrees. Breakfast is served from 7:30 - 9:00 AM, lunch from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM, and Dinner from 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM. A private dining room provides a special area for celebrations with family and friends. The Executive Chef is a past president of the Colorado Chef’s Association and remains involved, currently as the treasurer. He earned the 2010 American Culinary Federation’s Achievement of Excellence Award and was invited to the White House by First Lady Michelle Obama for her “Let’s Move” initiative to fight childhood obesity.
BISTRO—Come by any time of the day for light breakfast foods, snacks and beverages. We also gather each afternoon for wine-tasting, trivia, happy hour or other social activities.
THEATRE—With room for 25 movie buffs, our theatre features the truly great movies of our time. Enjoy a flick in our plush, theatre-style chairs while munching fresh popcorn and soda… or challenge a friend to a game of Wii! Our theatre is equipped with a professional lighting system and both a flat-screen TV and a drop-down 120” projection screen. The theater is also a favorite for big sporting events.
LIBRARY—Our library offers a treasure trove of books and national newspapers, and you’ll also find two computers to browse the Web or send off an e-mail.
BEAUTY SALON—We offer beauty salons in both our assisted living and Reflections neighborhoods. Residents can schedule appointments for hair, manicures and pedicures through one of our beauticians.
MASSAGE ROOM—Enjoy the therapeutic benefits of a relaxing, rejuvenating and re-energizing massage.
CHAPEL—Hosting Catholic and non-denominational Protestant services weekly.
COUNTRY STORE—Featuring sundry items for daily living: magazines, toiletries, snacks and crafts made by our residents.
GARDENING—A perennial favorite with our residents, gardening is indulged at MorningStar of Applewood. Choose which annuals to plant in our enclosed courtyard — then help us tend them. We even harvest vegetables for use by our Chef. You’ll also find high-rise flower beds for easier wheelchair access along with a lovely walking path.
AQUARIUM—This 325-gallon salt water tank is teeming with beautiful marine life for our assisted living residents to enjoy. Reflections has its own 100-gallon tank as well!
