“Named in 2014 as one of 11 Colorado communities to America’s Best Assisted Living Communities by”
I did considerable research before my mother moved to PALM, but for both of us the decision was an easy one. We love the size, the homey atmosphere…this place is tops! I cannot even begin to name all of the outstanding employees you have. The care managers are exceptional; they listen carefully, and answer questions over and over without ever getting frustrated or short! It is crucial that my mother is happy—I love her dearly—and as hard as it was for her to give up living alone, we both know this was the right decision. She is so happy here, thus, I am happy! pslm-great-roomThis Fall (2014), we will also see the walls raised on Parker Senior Living by MorningStar, an independent and assisted living building to the south of our campus.  The new four-story building will feature an indoor pool, full fitness/therapy center with a physician office on site, penthouse apartments, and a community room suitable for both residents and extended family gatherings.  “Interest in this most recent expansion has been phenomenal,” says Ken Jaeger, Founder/CEO of MorningStar, “indicative of the increasing demand for housing among active seniors.  With the expansion of Parker Senior Living by MorningStar, the established and growing population of seniors in this area can stay here in their neighborhood, close to family and friends, and fully connected with the vibrant Parker community.”  See renderings of the completed campus within our Gallery.

Parker Assisted Living by MorningStar named “Leader in Dementia Care” by Alzheimer’s Association

To help families research memory care communities, the Alzheimer’s Association established a program called “Recognized Leaders in Dementia Care.” To be so designated, a senior living community is required to enroll 75% of its staff in an eight-hour training that encompasses brain pathology, communication techniques, and methods of lessening agitation with non-pharmaceuticals. Colorado is the only Alzheimer’s Association chapter in the country offering this special program. Parker Assisted Living by MorningStar is proud to have earned this special recognition of our expertise in serving the memory-impaired, with 95% of our staff thus trained. Go and – Learn More.

Parker Assisted Living by MorningStar is proud to be the first assisted living community in Colorado to offer technology that enables those with hearing aids to receive audio directly to their instruments without reverberation or background noise.

Installed in our Activities Room and Theatre/Chapel, this “hearing loop” will greatly improve our residents’ ability to understand and participate.  The system provides the clearest, cleanest sound imaginable, yet does not require a headset, as it works with the T-Coil (or Telecoil) with which most hearing aids are equipped.

A T-coil is a tiny wireless receiver inside hearing aids, accessible via the programming button. Consult your audiologist to confirm it has been activated. You will be amazed at its effect.
For those without hearing aids or T-coils in their aids, headsets are available to help them hear through the loop.

When the time is right, allow us to share with you our passion for serving seniors.
