Q: Am I renting or buying my cottage?
A: Your refundable entrance deposit gives you the lifetime lease on the cottage. You may choose to move out of your cottage at any time with a 90-day notice.

Q: Who is qualified to become a resident at the Cottages?
A: At least one resident of the cottage must be 55 years or older and able to live independently.

Q: Will I be responsible for resale?
A: No. We handle all aspects of reselling the cottage home. You do not pay any realtor commissions, home inspection fees, repair costs, title insurance or marketing costs. A big savings for you.

Q: How much of my entrance fee is refunded?
A: We have different refundable options available to best suit your financial situation.

Q: Will the cost of my monthly service fee rise?
A: Yearly adjustments will be small with a maximum increase of 5%. These adjustments will reflect the current cost of labor, energy and food.

Q: What levels of supportive care do you offer?
A: We share a campus with Dayton Place which offers independent, assisted and memory care living options. The residents of The Cottages will have priority access to these higher levels of care.

Q: Are you pet friendly?
A: Definitely. Certain animals and breeds are subject to management discretion, however.

Q: Can I customize my home?
A: Yes, a simple Alteration Request Form is all that’s needed. We encourage you to personalize your cottage.

Q: What programs and activities are offered?
A: A variety of programs, including social, fitness, enrichment, recreational and wellness. The
activities at The Cottages will be centered around the interests, desires and hobbies or our residents—
another personalized service of our community.

Q: Are there any other fees beside the Entrance Deposit and Monthly Service Fee?
A: We have several meal options available for additional fees. Please ask your sales associate
for more information.

Q: Is transportation service available?
A: Yes. For community-sponsored events, transportation is free. Personal transportation is provided, based on availability, for an additional charge.

Q: Can I leave my cottage for an extended time unattended?
A: Absolutely. Don’t hesitate to travel, knowing we will keep a close eye on your cottage in your absence. We’ll even water your plants!
