MorningStar of Fountain Hills Contributes to Making its Town “Dementia Friendly”

MorningStar Memory Care – Great Room
FOUNTAIN HILLS, AZ (April 2, 2025) — MorningStar Assisted Living & Memory Care of Fountain Hills is honored to strengthen its Town’s designation as “Dementia Friendly” through its own dementia support and education for the public.
Dementia Friendly America® is a national network of communities, organizations, and individuals seeking to ensure communities across the country are equipped to support people with dementia and their caregivers. Dementia-friendly communities foster the ability of people living with dementia to remain in the community, and engage in day-to-day living. The Town of Fountain Hills is the 10th in Arizona to receive the Dementia Friendly America designation.
A recent interview on ABC15 highlights the Town’s initiatives, sharing the testimonies of two local families impacted by dementia, both of whom chose MorningStar to help care for their loved ones: Fountain Hills women take action for other dementia caregivers
MorningStar was proud to be an exhibitor at a local Dementia Friendly Summit, and to host its own monthly Memory Cafe as part of the Town’s supportive options. Each Cafe has a topical focus to facilitate learning and social connection among those with shared experiences.
Opening in 2016, MorningStar of Fountain Hills is beautifully situated near the town center of Fountain Hills, boasting marvelous views of the iconic fountain and surrounding mountain ranges. It offers 63 assisted living suites and 28 secure suites for residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory impairments. The community was awarded “Best of Senior Living” in 2025 by Seniorly.com, ranking 12th in the nation and 4th in the Southwest, positioning them among the top 2% communities in the country. It also won “Best of Fountain Hills” in 2024 by bestofsurveys.com.
