For 16 years MorningStar Senior Living has been valuing and loving seniors—men and women who have honored us by choosing MorningStar as their home.
Now, as an extended family, we eagerly await another joyful celebration of Christmas together, another ringing in of a hopeful New Year.
With a name like MorningStar, this season holds particular significance. The very name of our company was lifted from its scriptural reference to Jesus as Savior of the world, who came to serve, not to be served.
I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star. Revelation 22:16
We have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the Morning Star rises in your hearts. 2 Peter 1:19
The reason we exist as MorningStar is to serve—to serve and to love as Jesus modeled for us—to invest ourselves in others. In this Christmas season we recommit ourselves to elevating and celebrating life for our residents and their families.
From a biblical perspective, we can be immensely encouraged by the fact that Christ is the bringer of light. Light doesn’t just dispel the darkness; it reveals the way forward. Perhaps you’ll ponder that next time you see the physical Morning Star (another name for Venus, the planet of love) in the eastern sky at dawn, the brightest planet seen from Earth.
On behalf of our growing family of MorningStar communities, I wish you a holiday season that is truly merry and bright.
