MorningStar is proud to set the pace within Senior Housing with our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, a central, mobile solution for assessments, care planning, incident tracking, wound care, behavior management and eMARs (electronic medication administration records). With the heightened productivity of this point-of-care charting and clinical intelligence, we are free to devote more time to resident-centered care and activities.
Care Levels
Care Levels are determined through a simple point system which takes into account the cost and time of providing each service such as, grooming, bathing, ambulation and medical assistance. The cumulative score determines the level of care, resulting in an individualized service plan that offers the right amount of help needed.
Respite Care
Respite care is a short-term stay in a MorningStar community. It is recommended for seniors recovering from hospitalization or other health issues, affording an opportunity to experience community living. It can also be of benefit to a personal caregiver who needs a well-deserved vacation or a break from the responsibilities of caring for a senior.
Hospice
Hospice services are designed to give supportive care to individuals in the final phase of a terminal illness. The goal is to enable residents to be comfortable and free of pain, so that they live each day as fully as possible. Our dedicated Wellness Team collaborates with the hospice provider of choice allowing the resident and family to focus on comfort and quality of life.
Home Health and Out-Patient Therapy
Home health and out-patient therapy provide supportive services to current residents who reside in our communities. These relationships with third-party providers include broad care given by skilled medical professionals, including skilled nursing care, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy.
