The Definition of Adorable
Now really, could this face be any more adorable? Six-year-old Abby is our new MorningStar house dog, adopted from a private home into our larger full community. Though diminutive as a Lhasa Apso-Maltese mix, Abby has the biggest of dog hearts, open to any who will cuddle. You’ll find this sweet girl greeting all who pass our Concierge Desk, or perhaps resting on her very pink pillow (as true royals do).
Please drop in or give us a call at 208.429.6544 to schedule a tour of our grounds and senior living community. We certainly hope you like what you see in our gracious home.

resident in some way. It is such a pleasure to be with them. The first senior I ever loved was my Grandmother Sadie. By my Lebanese heritage, I called her Siti. Because my parents worked, Siti had a big part in raising me and my brothers and sisters. A widow for over 30 years, she was strong in faith and commitment to help and love others, no matter what. She never learned to drive a car, yet owned a 1963 White impala with a red interior and huge steering wheel. When I helped with her errands, I got to drive that car. What a treat!
I always loved going to my great grandparents. Grandma had a twinkle in her eye and a smile from
ear to ear; she was always so glad to see us. And there was always something on the stove. I remember the smell of barrels of pickles and sauerkraut in the cellar where they were stored. There were many grandchildren and great grands, but she managed to make each one of us feel special. Years after her death we still talk about being better people because of her. All seniors are an untapped resource, brimming with knowledge, wisdom, patience and acceptance.

I was named after my grandfather, Silvio Alberto Caricato. He taught me so much by how
he lived his life with integrity, humility and honesty. Now I live among amazing human beings like him, and marvel at their character, values and faith. There are many reasons why MorningStar is unique; the most distinguished is its foundation of faith and servant leadership. Our “Tree of Life” illustrates the principles upon which our company was created, firstly, to honor God.

Testify to Love
“Everyone who works at MorningStar is happy, caring, delightful and conscientious, from the ED to the kitchen staff and housekeepers. In the 38 years I’ve worked in all facets of the health care industry, none hold a candle to your team. You should be extremely proud of how you care for our precious elderly population.” (Resident’s daughter)
“Since Mom moved to MorningStar, she would frequently tell us what a great decision she made, and how kind everyone was. She always loved the fact that the staff called her by name during any encounter. We found a lot of comfort in her total acceptance that MorningStar was her home. You and your staff have always gone the extra mile to look after Mom. With every new crisis your team knew what to do and took action. During our visit we each experienced your professionalism and sincere interest in Mom. THANK YOU, MorningStar!”
“I have really enjoyed living at MorningStar. It has been a good fit for me. The staff and residents are wonderful people.” (Resident)Read More
“My mother has lived at MorningStar of Boise for six years. Recently, at 95-1/2 years old, she moved to the assisted living neighborhood. The director and staff have provided her with excellent care, and she has made many new friends. The activities and opportunities are varied and suitable to the different groups. I would highly recommend MorningStar.”
“MorningStar of Boise has been a wonderful residence for my 93-year old mother. It is the second senior living facility she has lived in, and the difference between the two are like night and day. The management team is not sequestered in their offices away from residents. It is clear to me that compassion and genuine caring of residents is an essential part of MorningStar’s mission, which is communicated and acted upon from the top down. She is happy at MorningStar; and for that, I am grateful.” (Resident’s daughter)
“After visiting a number of senior facilities throughout Boise, our mother and family agreed MorningStar was the right fit. The staff is so well trained and genuinely invested in the residents. The atmosphere is active, friendly and inclusive. If there is a concern, it is quickly addressed. Those who introduce you don’t check out on you once you’ve moved in. Their relationship with the resident and family continues and grows.” (Resident’s daughter)
“Our experience at MorningStar was incredible! I had hoped only to find a place for my mother that was nice. I never expected MorningStar would treat her as if she were their own mother! Whenever I left, I always felt she was watched over and taken care of. It allowed me peace of mind. They were always extremely friendly and helpful to both her and our family. Most of all, they were in constant contact with me, and went over-and-beyond, to help me transition her into memory care when the time came. The administrator even counseled me on what types of things to expect with mom’s health issues. I will never forget the love and dedication management and staff has shown.”
“I never would have believed it when you told me residents often improve when in assisted living. Dad sounded 20 years younger when I spoke with him on the phone last night. You have a fine facility and the administration was very helpful which made the transition painless and fun. Thank you, thank you!”
“Thank you for the incredible care you provided my father. Not a phone call with him went by when he didn’t praise one of your staff. In his last days, your constancy and compassion were truly remarkable. I was losing my dad, but it was abundantly clear that MorningStar was losing a dear friend. After he passed, countless staff and residents came by to extend their condolences. Hugs and tears were offered with love, dignity and respect for this dear man. Offers of any help we might need were given freely and sincerely. The sympathy card we received with notes from all was the gold seal of excellence.”
“Move to senior living before you need to. Move at a time when you can take part in the busy, constructive life we have here at MorningStar.”
