At Your Service
If you knew that every day you could touch someone’s heart, why wouldn’t you?
I feel that love radiate as I speak to our residents. The lives they’ve lived are grand and fascinating! I listen with sincere admiration of their challenges and accomplishments. All of the stories I hear are locked in my heart, and very often shared with my young son to help him understand that we must serve and exude love in order to truly understand the meaning of life.
I believe God has placed each of us on earth for a special reason. The
years I spent in acute care gave me a lot of practical experience, however, I never felt at home until I began to work with seniors. It then became clear that this is what God has planned for me. Seniors have teach me a “find what’s right” attitude and how God’s love in never ending.
Dir, Community Relations
I cannot think of a person to whom I felt more close than my grandmother.
I visited her often on the East Coast, and when not together, we were devoted pen pals. She listened to pop music just a little too loud, had a penchant for shopping, and treated family and strangers the same: with fierce love and compassion. I learned so much from her on how to be yourself, to persevere, and to do your absolute best to leave this world better than you found it.
