MorningStar of Littleton named “Alzheimer’s Association Leader in Dementia Care”
To help families research memory care communities, the Alzheimer’s Association established a program called “Recognized Leaders in Dementia Care.” To be so designated, a senior living community is required to enroll 75% of its staff in an eight-hour training that encompasses brain pathology, communication techniques, and methods of lessening agitation with non-pharmaceuticals. Colorado is the only Alzheimer’s Association chapter in the country offering this special program. MorningStar of Littleton is proud to have earned this special recognition of our expertise in serving the memory-impaired, with 84% of our staff thus trained.
When the time is right, allow us to share with you our passion for serving seniors.
The unique mission statement of MorningStar of Littleton, “to honor, to serve, to invest,” sets us apart from other senior living communities. Our foundation is built upon honoring God, valuing all seniors, and investing in staff with a felt calling to serve. Dedicated to creating a real home for residents within a beautiful setting, we encourage you to see for yourself our exceptional assisted living community.

From a young age, I prayed for the gifts of gentle and strong hands t...o care for others, an open heart to love deeply, the words to comfort, and a spirit to advocate for those in need. Senior care is the ideal place to use such gifts. Seniors teach me that friendships are ageless; we connect and care for each other naturally and effortlessly as two humans with the same needs for companionship, kindness and love. Through their life stories, they teach me to be resilient, to balance life delicately; time is nothing to waste.

Having transferred from another one of our communities, I can attest ...that MorningStar makes senior care the highest priority. "The seniors teach me to love more, have compassion, appreciation, and respect. The shared memories of our seniors help us to understand life, stimulate our development, and help us to evaluate ourselves positively. Respecting the rights and dignity of our seniors is the first step in establishing a satisfactory relationship between them and us." - MorningStar Team Member

Happy New Year! On New Year’s Eve, our community had a wonderful surprise and had the opportunity to ring in the new year by receiving the Covid-19 Vaccine! Here is a photo of (almost) 106 year-old resident, Minna! She was the first person in our community to receive the Covid-19 vaccine.
She is so sweet, sharp, and has a witty sense of humor. It is such an honor to know Minna, and it was so special to see her get the vaccine!
