It is an exceptional facility. Not too many residents, friendly staff, clean and new facilities. Lots of engagement. But the thing that is most significant is a real feeling of security. I feel my mom is safe and as well taken care of as possible given the circumstances.

The best place any senior could be at. The staff is very attentive, polite and helpful at all times. She is given her medication and checked by a nurse every day. The food is good, they have a variation of entertainment every week. There is a trip to the store every week and fun day out too.

I am very impressed with the overall experience my father has had at Morningstar. Very happy my father is there.The staff is always very friendly and helpful. My father says the food is excellent and they are always happy to accommodate any special requests. I looked at several other assisted living homes in the area, and Morningstar was head and shoulders above the rest.

When we began looking for a place where she could thrive despite her dementia, we visited many facilities, but this one truly stood out from the start. The staff here is not only highly trained in dementia care but also remarkably patient, kind, and attentive. They go out of their way to make her feel safe, respected, and cared for every day. Also ensuring me anytime I have a concern of worry . They always offered a solution . Knowing that she’s in an environment that’s designed to support memory care has given our family immense peace of mind. What’s especially wonderful is how they keep her engaged with various activities and therapies tailored to residents with dementia. Whether it’s music, crafts, gentle exercises, or dancing she always has a positive outlet and routine that makes her feel valued and connected. The facility itself is clean, beautifully maintained, and has cozy common areas where residents can socialize. We have recommended it to a friend who is also very happy. Unfortunately, my husband passed away after being there a short time. However, he had been very happy and comfortable there. I just can't say enough about the quality of care he received. I would like to add that we visited several places. Morningstar is a lovely place. They keep everyone involved in activities. It was the best of all the places we visited.

This is my observations as a visitor of “Reflections Neighborhood” (second floor memory care) when I visit a friend. I find the care staff friendly and organized about their tasks. They work as a team to move and attend to the residents who are less mobile or in wheelchairs. The living room and the activity room are clean and serene. Decor and paintings are changed for occasions. Daily activities include morning reads of historic tidbits, chair exercise, rest time before lunch or living room viewing of online nature programs. After lunch activities I have seen are rest time, singing olde time songs with a musician, bingo, art painting or craft, trivia pursuits. Highly professional musical performances are planned around holidays on the first floor for all Morningstar residents and seats are saved for the Reflections Neighborhood residents if they wish to attend with care staff. Residents are reminded and encouraged by staff to participate in all activities. Care staff are patient and understanding. The activities director, Yolanda, is always upbeat, cheerful, full of energy. The 3 course meals served in the dining room are well presented and in portions appropriate for a healthy diet. Residents get to choose between two entrees. Meal times are peaceful and efficient. My overall feeling about Morningstar when I visit, is that my friend is in a caring, safe, elegant, serene home.

I would give a 5 in every category. Morningstar of Pasadena is a beautiful facility with friendly, caring and professional staff. My mother has done very well there and we feel great peace of mind knowing she is in good hands. I would highly recommend the facility.
