She taught me a love of gardening by watching her dig up wildflowers and plant them in her flower beds. We walked barefoot by the creek and watched the sunrise while drinking coffee. She had a peace that came only from God as she told me stories of survival and perseverance. She passed almost 40 years ago but I can still remember the smells coming from her kitchen.
- ExitMichele SaffeelsWellness DirectorGrandmother Mary taught me how to be a strong and self-reliant woman. I remembered having long meaningful talks with her while we snapped beans. My love of seniors naturally came from her. She moved in with us after Grandfather passed away so Grandma was always there for advice, help and support during my youth. Senior lessons, lifted from the good and bad times, teach us how to cope and grow stronger through the experience. Work hard, love family and forgive much.
