Glimpses of the Heart

ExitKerri FelixExecutive DirectorThe first senior I ever loved was Raymond Clarke, known to me as Grampy. I didn’t ever think of him as a senior though; he was just my favorite guy…with white hair. I used to love watching him comb it, what little hair there was. Seniors teach us to be humble; compliments are to be mindfully given and graciously accepted. They teach us to be respectful of time, a precious commodity not be wasted. It is an absolute privilege to have the opportunity to serve them every day; and to serve alongside team members who daily exhibit the core value of kindness.

Grandpa was the glue of our family. Seniors have taught me to live life to the fullest, to stop and enjoy the little things. They have shown me that family is the most important thing you have in life, and just how precious that life is. At MorningStar, team members are treated like family. The company not only goes above and beyond to care for seniors, but they extend that reach around the world with orphan care and clean water initiatives.

I feel called to serve seniors because it is very satisfying to know I can play a part in improving their quality of life. My elders teach me to be grateful for things we often take for granted, like health and family. I was attracted to MorningStar because of their mission and core values which echo my own.

What an amazing place. Melissa went above and beyond to help us get mom moved in in a short amount of time. Everyone we came across was very caring and happy. Wonderful environment! Beautiful home and amenities. Highly recommend you check this out if you’re looking for assisted-living at any level. Thanks again Melissa for all you do!
I cannot say enough about this facility! My Grandma Virginia Vasquez may her memory be a blessing was a resident for about a year and a half. The entire staff doted on her, sang & danced with her, hugged her and wiped her tears when needed. They treated her with the utmost kindness, dignity and compassion.
