Glimpses of the Heart

Oregon. I remember the smell of her small farmhouse, the warmth of her hugs, and the taste of those filberts after cracking them open. Her hands were fragile and beautiful, and I will always remember the love she had for her family. With Christ as our example, at MorningStar we are servant-led, embracing the whole person’s needs.
Dir, Community Relations
When I joined MorningStar Senior Living right out of high school, I didn’t yet
know my career path. But the more time I spent with seniors, the more I saw how rewarding this work was. It has since become a burning passion. I am able to enter our home every day, confident I can make a difference in the quality of life for so many.

“THANK YOU for all you did for my mother during the challenging weeks this month. Your compassion, empathy, professionalism and grace epitomizes goodness and love—and for this, I’ll always remember you! The warm and welcoming staff at MorningStar continue to be there for both my mother and me. You all were our safety net when we were falling.”

“After moving to this senior community in 2010, my husband and I would occasionally wonder if we’d made the right decision. Then, last December (2013), MorningStar assumed management…and a completely wonderful change in staff, atmosphere, food and activities took place. Since then my husband has passed away, but I remain happy as ever at MorningStar. I have a wonderful apartment and wonderful friends. We have delicious meals, with chefs who try to meet all of our tastes and cheerful, happy servers. What more could a person ask for? I love it here.”
“You’re among the nicest people I have ever known, and you’ll never be forgotten for the thoughtfulness you’ve shown our family.”
