- ExitStacie KautzmanExecutive DirectorI feel honored to serve the people who live at MorningStar. Giving back to our elders, who have given so much through their lives, is what I love about my job and MorningStar. I want everyone who comes into our community to feel the joy we have each and every day in being together.
- ExitEmily SchaffAssociate Executive DirectorIf I had to focus on one beloved grandparent, it would be Grandma Charlene, my first pen pal and the most adventurous in my family. She journaled daily, jotting down meaningful quotes, one of which I eventually had tattooed on my arm. Grandma was a nurse and made sure everyone was treated with respect and dignity, regardless of circumstances. It’s natural and comforting to me to be around seniors. I come to work every day to bring a smile to residents’ faces as well as remind them they are loved and valued. While each generation faces challenges, the sacrifices seniors have lived through are commendable; they deserve to enjoy this time in their lives with peace of mind and camaraderie.
- ExitSean PearsonDir Community RelationsA simple rule by which I live my life: To do everything as if in the “light of day.” I would never do something or say anything that I would not say in the bright light of day. I govern my actions as if my grandmother were looking over my shoulder, and I would not want to embarrass her. I want to always do the right thing in order to make an impact on those I meet. I watch, listen and learn to be the best I can be. As Mother Teresa once said, "Yesterday is gone, tomorrow has not arrived...let us begin."
