ExitMaurea KiyoiExecutive DirectorServant-mindedness was instilled in me at a young age. MorningStar provides the opportunity to continue this passion. Being there for those who have been there for others is such a powerful feeling, and the joy it brings never ceases to amaze me. We are here not only to serve every person under our roof, but to honor them (their wisdom and life experience) with our attention and love.

ExitDarrin BristolExecutive ChefMy dad, Marvin, made every effort to spend time with my brothers and me, giving us the love and attention we all needed. As he aged and asked for more help with various things, I found it fulfilling to now be there for him. I realized I wanted to use my culinary skills to give back to all seniors. Serving them, their families and friends is far more rewarding than any other chef position I have held. MorningStar inspires an atmosphere where Patience, Love and Respect are at our roots for the benefit of all who call this community home. It is as amazing to work for a company who treats employees with dignity and honor.

ExitNick CoaleDirector Community RelationsGrandma Betsy has been a staple in my life since the day I was born, pushing me to aim high and never settle. She has been my biggest supporter, taking me to lunch during college and at one point offering to enroll in for the same classes to make sure I was able to make it through. Through her I have learned to cherish and nurture relationships. I feel called to serve seniors by seeing first-hand the impact of community life. I have seen seniors go from eating alone in their own home to regaining a sense of independence and purpose.

ExitCalvin JenningsSales SpecialistAs a child of working parents, I was practically raised by Grandma Elaine. She taught me how to read and how to love with my whole heart. I owe everything I am to her. With every senior I help to find a safe and happy home, I am honoring Grandma and paying her back for all the love I received. And from seniors, I learn to cherish family and treat friends and neighbors with respect.
