LIVE TWICE THE STORY
Enjoy these miracle moments of connecting and caring
I have worked for many companies, but truly MorningStar’s Culture and leadership are the most sincere and caring individuals I’ve ever known. You can’t just work here, you need to have a heart and passion for our seniors. This is what draws me to MorningStar and I believe it draws our residents to want to live in this great community as well.
My calling to serve seniors stems from the love I was given by grandparents at a fragile time of my childhood. They took me under their roof and gave me a life I will forever be grateful for. Grandpa Bob is my role model. He taught me how to mow a lawn, swing a hammer, build a shed, bait a hook, and love people no matter what. Even with health problems he never stopped being a caretaker of heart and love.
I am one of the lucky few who were born with that special gene…the gene that naturally aligns my heart with seniors…the gene that confirms without a doubt that this is the career path I am meant to take. When I was 18, I was taking care of a senior named Alice. We all called her "Auntie". Auntie taught me how to live life so it doesn't pass you by. Her family welcomed me with open arms and treated me like their own. That's how I choose to treat every resident and family that comes through our doors, like family.
