Glimpses of the Heart

ExitJanet SederquistExecutive DirectorProviding extended care to my 95-year-old mother redirected my career into senior living. That gift of service fed my soul and lit a fire to continue the passion I found serving seniors. MorningStar cares for their residents and team members from the heart; that is clearly reflected in everything we do as a brand.

ExitKaren HirstDirector of HospitalityMy path to MorningStar was guided by Providence. On the land where MorningStar of Kirkland sits there once was a school my daughter had attended, Providence Classical Christian School. In looking for a meaningful part-time job where I could serve others, I drove to MorningStar for my interview and exclaimed aloud, “Oh my! This is Providence!” God brought me back to this special place, full of memories, for my new calling. Life surely prepared me for this role. I love the MorningStar mission and vision.

ExitAshley ChoDirector Community RelationsWhile I was growing up, my grandparents lived in the same neighborhood, in fact. Grandfather was the principal of my elementary school and a composer/music teacher his entire life. It was he who gave me the love I have for playing the piano and violin. Now, surrounded by seniors in my chosen career, I am able to focus on what matters most to me: building family and learning wisdom from people who know! MorningStar’s company mission & core values are ones I have long been looking for. For it is my personal passion to honor God with my life.
