Memory Care Mission Viejo: Providing the Services, Programs & People
Once a family decides to entrust their loved one to MorningStar of Mission Viejo, we create an individualized service plan based on the person’s background and preferences. Services include daily health monitoring and 24/7 care from a well-trained staff along with access to licensed nurses and other supportive third-party providers.
Distinct from our independent living and assisted living, Reflections Neighborhood has warm and inviting common areas and clear wayfinding throughout to give our residents suffering from dementia-related diseases the freedom to move about as independently as possible. Our 30 suites are equipped with emergency call systems and handicapped-accessible bathrooms, and only require your loved one’s personal furnishings and mementos. Daily, purposeful programs and activities incorporate Montessori-based therapies to help celebrate and elevate life. With new SafelyYou technology, we can detect and prevent falls for memory care residents with (AI) Artificial Intelligence. Ask our Wellness Director about the use of SafelyYou for your loved one.
MorningStar’s unique mission statement “to honor, to value, to invest” sets us apart from other senior living communities. Please contact us to learn more about memory care Mission Viejo families can trust.
LIVE TWICE THE STORY
Enjoy these miracle moments of connecting and caring
My grandmother, Mary, was the quintessential Italian grandmother. At 4’10”. Nana would make pastries and pasta, all the while smiling and laughing and urging me to “eat, eat, eat”! She lived to 104 and was the light of my life. The seniors I serve today teach me to be patient, humble, grateful and to cherish the moment, for it all flashes by too fast. I was strongly drawn to MorningStar by its culture, values and philanthropy. I am at home here to a degree I have never felt in previous professional positions.
My love for seniors comes from Grandpa Loreto and Grandma Simona. Grandfather was a pastor and "Mona" is a prayer warrior and backbone of our family. She could always be found in the early mornings on her knees beside her bed with a blanket over her shoulders, mentioning everyone's name in prayer. Seniors are a population that have so much to offer. By their eventful lives, full of hills and valleys, they can share wisdom and guidance, having likely experienced whatever you may be going through. I admire MorningStar for unashamedly keeping God at the forefront of their values.
The first senior I’ve ever loved is my dear grandmother Rosa. She has visited California annually to spend time with all of her grandchildren. Abue Rose is the first person to consistently teach me about faith in God and unconditional love through acts of service and daily prayer. Working for seniors has been the most gratifying job I’ve had in my career. Our seniors sacrificed a lot to pave the way for generations. From seniors I learn to live more lightheartedly, and to set time to nurture relationships and make memories.
