LIVE TWICE THE STORY
Enjoy these miracle moments of connecting and caring
I love working with seniors under MorningStar’s mission, knowing I can make a difference by providing a gentle touch, kind word, listening ear or a caring act in challenging situations. Seniors provide us with wisdom on dealing with and enjoying life to its fullest. I am thankful to be part of the MorningStar Family as I can really relate to our mission, vision and core values.
The first senior I ever loved was Grandma Mary. Although she had many struggles, I do not recall a single day that she was not full of joy. I learned never to give up from my beautiful, “tough as nails” Grandma. She lived each day to the fullest, inspiring me to do the same. I have always felt called to serve and have been drawn to the guiding wisdom of seniors. It is so important to honor them for all they have given us.
The first senior I ever loved was my grandmother, now 100 years old and living in Pasadena. Her nurture taught me how to care and love for others and provide for my own family. Strong Christian values were instilled in me growing up in church in Pasadena where I've led praise and worship. Now, for my employer (MorningStar!) to align with who I am outside of work, well, it’s perfect. Christian values are a great moral compass in delivering dignity and respect to all.
