MorningStar Senior Living Honors Women During International Women’s Month with the HerStory Project
DENVER, CO (April 1, 2025) – MorningStar Senior Living proudly celebrated International Women’s Month this March by honoring the incredible women who live and work in our communities. Recognizing that women make up 80% of the senior living workforce and over 70% of its residents, MorningStar launched the HerStory Project—a heartfelt initiative dedicated to sharing the stories of inspiring women across our communities.
Throughout the month, residents and team members were invited to reflect on the women who shaped their lives and the personal achievements that define them. Whether honoring mothers, grandmothers, mentors, or celebrating their own journeys, participants shared moving and powerful stories of resilience, love, and strength.
Among those featured was Beverly, a resident whose unwavering faith was instilled in her by her mother, Marjorie. She recalls how her mother’s deep trust in God carried their family through difficult times, proving the power of prayer and perseverance. Team member Christine Jaeger shared how the influential women in her life—her mother and grandmothers—taught her faith, selflessness, and the importance of giving back to others.
“Throughout this project, we learned how incredibly important it is to create space for women to share their stories, to be heard and recognized… and not just during the month of March, but every day.” – Moriah, Vice President of Life Enrichment at MorningStar
MorningStar remains committed to uplifting and celebrating the voices of women, not just in March, but all year long.
